:: 2004 - Walesby
In 2004 we returned to an old favourite site of ours, Walesby Forest. We decided to try a new field, which was on the whole better - closer to the water point, farther from the warden’s office and most importantly, further from the wasp’s nests. Actually not the wasps. Of course it wasn’t all good news; the leaders were now camped under a metal windmill which hadn’t been oiled for fifty years.
Highlights and lowlights include Gordon ‘getting electrocuted whilst phoning his mum’ and Alastair practicing his golf technique a little too close to the warden’s wife.
