:: 2000 - Tolmers
To celebrate the millenium we decided to travel a little further afield, to Tolmers in Hertfordshire. We also omitted to take any tents with us. For the first time, 3rd Hindley decided to camp inside in the middle of summer.
As part of our millenium celebrations we got a day out to London, and a chance to ride on the London eye (with Sir Jackie Stewart in the next pod no less). We also had the inaugural 3rd Hindley Grand Prix, going go karting not once, but twice! We also went to Chessington World of Adventure, which was great for people that like queueing for rides that don’t work.
Of course 3rd Hindley Summer Camp would be the same if all the activities were good, so we had the usual affair of raft building, water olympics, water slide and carting-Darren-round-in-a-wheelbarrow.

This was one of the best summer camps we attended. Darren hurt himself as per usual but the leaders and lads all had a ball
