30.11.08 - Bramhope 2008
The Scouts have just returned from their Christmas camp at Bramhope. Be sure to check the ‘Camps’ page from info and the photo galleries for the latest paparazzi moments!
31.08.08 - Summer Camp 2009
The venue for Summer Camp 2009 has been chosen. We will be heading to [Beaudesert Park] in the Midlands. This is somewhere we haven’t camped before but all the leaders that visited the site agreed that it promises to be a fantastic week More info will be available early next year on the Summer Camp page.

23.08.07 - Next Camp: Dunham Park
The next camp for the Scout section will be held the 28th-30th September at Dunham Park. The format will be a DIY team camping competition, so you’ll have to cook for yourselves and will compete throughout the weekend.
Activities (TBC) will include Archery, Assault Course, Sedan Chair Grand Prix, Capture the Flag plus more. It will cost £15 (plus you must buy your own food)
21.05.07 - BST Hiking Competition
We would like to say thank you and well done to Michael, Mark, Johnny, George, Jamie and Tom who came a very close 2nd in the 2007 BST Hiking Competition, held at Bibby’s Farm.
12.04.07 - Escape and Evasion

18.02.07 - Aquamadness
Well done to the two teams from 3rd Hindley who took part in the Aquamadness competition held in February. One team came first, and the other team each managed to be a part of the winning team as they were a man short
September 2006 - Hiking Competition
Congratulations to Michael, Johnny, Robin, George, Taz and Faz for coming 3rd in the Wigan B.S.T. Hiking Competition 2006. The lads did very well over a gruelling 2 day event in the West Pennine Moors. Faz even hiked over Great Hill with a dodgy ankle; and they said they’ll be back to win it next year so watch out 1st Ashton!

February 2006 - Challenge Camp
On the 21st April we will be heading to Middlewood campsite for some fun challenges and activities. Have you got it in you to complete all 20 challenges? If you think you have bring £10 deposit to Scouts to secure your place!
September 2005 - Hiking Competition
Congratulations to the 3rd Hindley Scout and Explorer teams for coming first in the respective events over the two day hike.
April 2005 - Aquamadness
Congratulations to our team who came second in this year’s Aquamadness Competition on the 16th April. Well Done!!!
November 2004 - Moonlighting
Congratulations to the three teams that took place in the annual Wigan District Moonlighting event on the 20th November. All three teams made it to the finish, which was a major achievement considering the weather on the day! Well done lads!
September 2004 - Hiking Competition
A big well done goes out to our two teams who took part in the District Hiking Competition on the 18th/19th September. The teams hiked accross the West Pennine Moors to take 2nd and 3rd place!
